Peptides compounded from bulk drug substances for animals are unapproved new animal drugs. The FDA exercises enforcement discretion under Guidance for Industry #256 when three conditions are met. Our platform enforces all three on every prescription.
- 01A valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship exists, documented and attested.
- 02No FDA-approved animal drug can appropriately treat the condition, with patient-specific medical rationale.
- 03The compound is prepared by a state-licensed pharmacist or veterinarian.
What we will do
