Overview
NAD+ is the universal metabolic coenzyme. Central to sirtuin activation, DNA repair, and mitochondrial energy production. Tissue NAD+ pools decline with age across every mammalian species studied.
Simon et al. 2024 ran a randomized controlled trial of a senolytic and NAD+ precursor combination given by mouth to senior dogs, and owner rated cognition improved at the full dose. It tested an oral combination, not injectable NAD+.
