Overview

NAD+ is the universal metabolic coenzyme. Central to sirtuin activation, DNA repair, and mitochondrial energy production. Tissue NAD+ pools decline with age across every mammalian species studied.

Simon et al. 2024 published a randomized controlled trial of nicotinamide riboside supplementation in aged dogs. That is the strongest direct canine longevity intervention evidence in the entire formulary.
